Role Overview

The purpose of this role is to develop content strategies, collaborate with creators, and implement distribution plans. The content manager ensures consistent, high-quality content. By optimizing search engines, analyzing performance, and enforcing governance policies, they contribute to brand consistency and business objectives, shaping Popcorn’s online presence effectively.

About the team

The purpose of the POP Squad is to manage, develop, and grow the Popcorn product, a dating app freshly rebranded to empower women to explore their sexuality freely. The POP Squad aims to ensure the product aligns with user needs and business goals by focusing on brand strategy, community building, content management, moderation, and user engagement.

Responsibilities – What you will do

• Develop and implement a comprehensive content strategy aligned with our brand to increase community engagement and user retention across all channels.
• Create a yearly editorial ‘Master Plan’ and monthly schedules to ensure a consistent and timely content flow for news feed posts, surveys, magazine articles, and newsletters.
• Plan and produce content for Social Media and develop content to increase brand awareness through brand ambassadors and influencers.
• Ensure all content is uploaded and available promptly via regular posts, surveys, magazine articles, and newsletters in coordination with our Community Manager.
• Establish and enforce content governance policies, including content creation, publication, and archiving guidelines, to maintain consistency and quality.
• Manage a team of freelance writers and journalists to create new content in alignment with the PR and SEO efforts of the Acquisition Squad to increase brand awareness.
• Align with the Acquisition Squad to ensure that all content is optimized for SEO in collaboration with the SEO Specialist to increase visibility and traffic volume.
• Coordinate and oversee all content-related matters in sync with community, moderation, and customer support efforts to maximize user experience.

Requirements – What you bring

• 3-5 years of experience in content creation or management, preferably within the tech or social media industries.
• Native level of English proficiency; German skills preferred but not mandatory.
• Demonstrated copywriting experience, with a strong ability to create engaging and impactful content.
• Experience in social media management and strategy, with a proven track record of growing engagement and following.
• Previous work within app environments is a plus, showing a strong understanding of digital product user experiences.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field is preferred.
